Summary: We want directors and instructors to think deeply and question how they meet the needs of their learners. WHY they do what they do. Start with WHY, inspire with WHAT learning could look like, and consider HOW to get there.

An engaging learning experience that focuses on big-picture ideas for trends in education to prepare our students for College and Career Readiness in THEIR world. The concepts will be put into action through a hands-on project to get an idea of what’s possible, and they will finish with reflection and planning on how they can get there.

The Summit is two-way experiential learning an sharing events hosted by LA Mission College that exposes students 10th grade to 4-year university about spectrum of careers in the tech-entertainment economy sector and beyond.  The event will use a one-to-many distribution platform to engage virtual classroom in trending career models such as to gig-or-not-to-gig and other key performance indicators for  creative-tech economy.  Ultimately we’ll be recruiting and developing rockstars and superstars to place from Los Angeles Community College District and Los Angeles County School districts to align with pre-apprenticeship initiatives and showcase the process where students end-to-end production and engineering will be on display as a continuum.

The event will also spotlight the Cultural Equality Inclusion Initiative (CEEI) and other initiatives such as Measure 8 while simultaneously navigating students to connect the map of careers inside of the growth industries in the Los Angeles County creative-technology economy.  The event will also collaborate with  with career-fair-minded exhibitors who’ll present workshops, panels, and inspirational speakers and student resources for students from marginalized circumstances to prepare them to compete by submitting applications, role playing, and post mortem for  these newly-exposed opportunities inside of Silicon Beach and Silicon Valley.

The outcome(s) will be forecasted to student peer-to-peer network that will investigate the latest tactics and techniques  to gain access to the ever-changing precise requirements to stay competitive and spotlight other campuses in a rotation of Strongworkforce networked classrooms in the state of California and beyond.  We’ll also feature a customized creative hack to showcase student collaboration and execution capabilities.

We want to develop deep thinkers and learners of every color, orientation, philosophies to think deeply and question how they meet the needs of their learners and their communities… WHY they do what they do. Start with WHY, inspire with WHAT learning could look like, and consider HOW to get there. We’ll take 30 learners and immerse them into the 4 collaborators world.  Their presentation will showcase backpack journalism, their capture, shot in 360 augmented with the latest effects.

Students and and leadership will receive an immersive experience while being hands-on in a 2-day workshop, training the trainers for externship credits, while working side-by-side with students who’ll showcase their application of their newfound skills producing 360/VR/AR content on the the second day with tools from Samsung Gear-VR, HTC-Vive, Microsoft H0loLens, and Apple.

The Summit also connects recruiters with the post high school audiences through live 2-way communication with the registered students, faculty and workforce stakeholders. All registered student candidates are pre-screened and hold the AT&T Silicon Beach Badge with various certification and years of work experience. Wha Is A Trim Tab?



Alton Glass is an award-winning filmmaker, speaker and cofounder of GlassRock Experiential (GRX), an experiential content studio and immersive education lab dedicated to storytelling and emerging technologies. Black Enterprise awarded Glass the “Breakout Star of The Year” Award for Tech Innovation at their annual Tech ConneXt Summit 2017. Back in 2014, Glass’ groundbreaking drama “CRU” made history at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Independent Film Awards when it took home a win in every category it was nominated for, including Best Film and Best Director. Three years later, the award-winning filmmaker returned to the annual festival to break new ground yet again with his virtual reality movie, “A Little Love”, which premiered at ABFF 2017 and Canada’s 2017 Festival of International Virtual and Augmented Reality Stories (FIVARS).

Glass has created experiential content with clients like Toyota, Warner Bros, Sony, Viacom, Disney, NFinity Athletics and now currently an alum of FaceBook – Oculus Launch Pad 2017 for immersive content developers.
