This is a new product by Champion, that is a maple shaft with a carbon fiber shaft.

Review: At a glance the shaft overall felt heavy, slightly heavier than most standard or carbon fiber shafts. The EXII has a nice solid feeling with soft to hard stroke shots. We noticed a slight ping that you hear which could change by installing a different tip. We felt that there was barely any whipines given the skinny shaft and we were quite surprised with the overall performance when you take into consideration that this is a low cost carbon fiber insert construction shaft. We would say that the feel of this shaft is ALMOST comparable to the Mezz WX900.
