Our dear friend and Art-Educations Impresario Rory Pullens put on a great show last night at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Yet I can’t help but wonder where was all of the support needed and deserved for his mission critical quest to create a movement, not just a night of entertainment. There was much to highlight for Rory’s production, but from my perch I couldn’t capture the excitement in high resolution content for this blog, so please excuse the quality of video below.

In particular I was struck by the brilliance of the students performance, the presence, choreography, and overall musical performance on this huge stage that was worthy of a commercial mass audience, not just LAUSD stakeholders, parents, and student peers. I can see this production being picked up in the future by an online distributor and delivered to an audience who could appreciate the full measure of Rory’s work. I can also see Rory being part of a movement on a national scale, and receiving a proclamation from of all of government supporters of STEAM, maybe he’s ready to take on the Obama MBK Challenge?
What a fantastic evening at the #WeAreOne Benefit Concert in support of #ArtsEd in @LASchools! Blown away by the incredible talent of our students. pic.twitter.com/yjGiPu4JhG
