The 35 Miles To Eden AKA “AMAZING GRACE”
The franchise is an episodic scripted reality series following a cast of 6th and 7th graders inside of the Boys Academic Youth Leadership Academy (BAYLA). This school is a response to the crisis in LAUSD, caught in the web of LAUSD and other publics schools in major urban areas of the united states is reduced expectations and resources. This series will capture the intervention and proprietary treatment(s)these young men of color will receive by a group of activist educators, mentors, and neuroplasticity scientist determined to use reverse the students’ circumstances, data, and projections to enter the prison pipeline.
The reaction is therapeutic, and social engineering using next level brain functioning treatment to heal adverse environmental conditions that have been diagnosed with PTSD, Apathy, Low Self Esteem, and hopelessness.

IMMERSION
To align with the USC ICT narrative direction, this experience will include light gamification such as (but not limited to) eye-tracking objects that drive deeper immersion into the story, gaze as input, clicks to teleport, interaction with the scene to unlock content, and the use of haptic feedback.
UNIVERSE
In the tradition of traditional scripted reality programming, 35 Miles To Eden series is a stand alone, close-ended narrative within the universe of the franchise.

IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING
Truth be told, the objective is to create the greatest cinematic narrative experience ever made. While there are opportunities to develop a more interactive approach for the 35 Miles To Eden project, the impact of the immersive narrative storytelling, which will unfold over serialized episodes, will set the bar.
INTIMACY
Virtual Reality is the most intimate form of visual storytelling. With the 35 Miles To Eden series, we want to tell a deeply personal, character-driven story about self-realization and identity. By immersing the audience into the full power of the VR medium, viewers will dive deeply into the mind of each of the cast of 6th and 7th-grade students This approach will reach the audience in ways never before possible, allowing viewers to experience the powerful themes of the franchise from an intimate perspective.

OBJECTIVE
Our desire is that The 35 MILES TO EDEN series will be the first Virtual Reality 3D that is narrative, immersive and interactive for the
EXPERIENCE
Presence is key in VR. When a VR experience is designed with the user in mind from inception, the virtual world looks and feels ‘real’ for the audience member. The goal is to incorporate ‘real’ presence into the narrative. As a result, the series will be a self -healing and engaging first-person experience.
