The Dakar Foundation Apprenticeship Program was on hand to capture the sights and sounds for the AME 2023 institute conference featuring and keynote addressed by Dean of the college of fine Arts at Howard University Phlylicia Rashad. .

Our apprentices were able to shake hands and talk with her after her steering speech. We also captured various panels and were able to get some thoughts and reflections from the board members of the AME institute about this year’s conference and what was next for them and impacting students and teachers for the upcoming fall semester.

Day two was more demonstrations, but we were able to meet some great people, namely Jihan Johnston and Claire Lableaux from the NASEF who produced the panel that was focused on how to start an esports club and Jihan added the hip hop flava that had a nice interactive component for the audience to showcase their adoption of how to motivate digital learners in their respective classrooms.   . We hope to follow them and potentially collaborate on a project that will allow our apprentices to plan a way to integrate their curriculum with other curriculums that weird tracking for implementation for all semester 2023
