LOS ANGELES – Nov. 20, 2016 – Kevin Clark– The Beverly Hills/Hollywood NAACP in partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District Arts Education Branch (LAUSD) kicked off the first in a series of Career Development Programs , Friday on the campus of Dorsey High School. Academy Award Winning Actor Lou Gossett Jr. promoted the event and his afternoon session on KTLA TV.

“The NAACP Creative Arts Festival”. Four hundred and fifty students (450) from various LAUSD high schools participated in a one-day developmental and informational workshop centered around the following disciplines: acting, voice, dance, visual arts, production/filmmaking and stage/theatre makeup application.

The morning began with introductions of the celebrity panelist by moderator Wendy Raquel Robinson: Kenny Lattimore, Marsai Martin and Miles Brown(Black-ish), Cornelius Smith Jr (SCANDAL), Jazz Guitarist Paul Jackson Jr, Kevin “KB” Brewer (Jabbawockeez), Veteran dancer Lula Washington, Visual Artists Charles Bibbs, Bernard Stanley Hoyes and Nick McGee plus MAC representative Ashley Rudder and celebrity make-up artist Simon Rihanna.
