HOMAGE was created by Kevin Clark of Dakar Interactive, to unifying like minded students and those who influence them to a global theme that will explore their openness in a connecting their thoughts.  It will serve as a clearinghouse for school districts, teachers and students to draw upon diversity framed career development resources to inspire all no matter what their socio-economic status. HOMAGE will utilize talent from all communities to develop leadership and stewardship by using case studies such as the Fallen 66 Project to create a user-generated content video blog about genealogy, emphasizing lesson plans from STEM, liberal arts and civics. Within HOMAGE there are 7 underlying principles that will lead to a more collaborative effort to build sustainable evergreen projects about Diversity and Inclusion, STEM and The Arts that can be measured by each succeeding graduating class.

HOMAGE incorporates a high-interest, inquiry rich integrated curriculum supported by the rights that Dakar Interactive obtained to curate rare artifacts about the Buffalo SoldiersTuskegee Airmen and other Groups of Color and Gender. This catalog of material will provide an overlay of content to classrooms who will be the first generation of students to study the forensics of these men and women’s photographs, diaries and rare documents though science, literacy and critical thinking/problem solving. Homage’s premise is that the best way to learn science is by practicing science, and the best way to express one’s self is their interpretation and narrative to which can frame their understanding of how they can change their circumstances through stewardship.

The 7 pillars is baked-into the Fallen 66 project and applied to a Memorial Day online awareness campaign whose goal is to drive awareness for all men and women who Killed in Action, and in particular those whose remains have never been found. HOMAGE is a movement dedicated to building an advocacy groups to influence stakeholders: Major Museums, Legislators and existing government program such as the JPAC to start the process of the finding remains of World War II pilots who never came home, and to repatriate their remans to be buried with honors in the Arlington National Cemetery.

HOMAGE believes that there is an innate feeling in all of us to achieve progress, to advance, to solve mysteries such as the Fallen 66. Emerging technologies have changed how we communicate and how we engage one another. HOMAGE  can now reach millions of students, teachers, and administrators, and to get a better understanding how they can now share their passions and openly engage across cultural and tribal boundaries.  HOMAGE knows that change is happening everywhere. Startups are disrupting entire industries and scaling their businesses globally. Tyranny, injustice and unethical behavior are being exposed around the world. Groups are self organizing to take positive action. Transparency, accountability, information sharing, and collaboration are accelerating progress to levels never before seen, and HOMAGE wants our student member to leaders in all phases of stewardship.

Digital Warrior and Blood and Treasure will be our first attempt to showcase our ability to reach targeted disconnected classrooms. This experience will go along way in helping Dakar better understand how to tame the complexity of delivering a better workforce enhancement product such as: search engine optimization inside of social networks.

Bootcamp For Generation Z?

What is the connection between history of the service and sacrifice then and now? I first started thinking about this question with my involvement with the Buffalo Soldiers and the film film For Love Of Liberty . I’ve discovered a growing apathy for history from each generation before me, and while I can understand the “what’s in it for me mentality”, I can’t help but think that if more youth were exposed to little-told stories about men and women from centuries past, that generation Z would be more connected to opportunity to serve in today terms.

One solution is how to better connect with them by thinking about how to help them “Change their world, i.e their immediate circumstances, and how to prevent them from becoming potential throwaway kids. In the last six month Dakar Foundation has conducted high school assemblies Los Angeles county, and concludes that we can connect to the classroom and individual students by sharing stories with underserved youth are engaged when given the opportunity to see and touch the stories on campus. Scholarships, Internships, and career development in a box is what I’m talking about. The opportunity get them to download the information and a connected APP would give them a portal that does not exist for most them today, we call the campaign “changing their world”.

Several school districts have written us to ask permission to use our stories for military observance and special observance day programming. We’ve prepared a lesson plan that will give a free license to all school districts to share our videos and photography to drive a call to action for the Fallen 66. One in particular, the Rochester City School district television network has asked Dakar for a proposal, see below.

Bootcamp For Generation Z?

There may be no country on the planet more vulnerable to a massive cyberattack than the United States, where financial, transportation, telecommunications and even military operations are now deeply dependent on data networking. U.S. industry, government and military operations are all at risk of an attack on complex computer systems, analysts warn.

What’s worse: U.S. security officials say the country’s cyber defenses are not up to the challenge. In part, it’s due to a severe shortage of computer security specialists and engineers with the skills and knowledge necessary to do battle against would-be adversaries. The protection of U.S. computer systems essentially requires an army of cyber-warriors, but the recruitment of that force is suffering. “We don’t have sufficiently bright people moving into this field to support those national security objectives as we move forward in time,” says James Gosler, a veteran cybersecurity specialist who has worked at the CIA, the National Security Agency and the Energy Department. Read More
