Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Cycling – Don’t be afraid. You’ve been riding a bike since you were 5! Join us in the cycling studio for a fun-packed, energy-packed, non-impact ride. You’ll burn 400-600 calories during this upbeat, musical journey of flats, hills, jumps, and sprints. (Call to reserve your bike!)
Power Up – A stronger, leaner body is right at your fingertips! In Power-Up, you will isolate and challenge every muscle group using weights, balls, and bands to the beat of energizing music. This is a total body workout building strength, lean muscle, and core stability.
Silver Circuit – For our mature exercisers, this 45 minute total body conditioning class combines fun and fitness as it increases muscular strength, endurance, range of movement, and balance.
Step & Strength – Start with a cardio challenge using high-energy, fun combinations on the step, and finish with specific conditioning for upper body and abs; the perfect combo of cardio and strength.
Boot Camp – It’s the best of all worlds! You’ll get a hard workout with simple moves that you have been doing since you were in grade school. This fun and challenging class combines sports conditioning, strength training, and military drills that will keep you at the edge of you’re comfort zone. Play hard, sweat hard, have fun.
Zumba – (Latin and International music) Dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance step
Zumba & More (Core) – 40 minutes of fun with Zumba (See description above) followed by 20 minutes of standing balance and core training on the mat. The use of stability balls, weighted medicine balls, and/or soft fitness balls provides a unique way to strengthen your abs, back, and gluts.
Power Yoga(Vinyasa) – A Vinyasa yoga class that includes breath-synchronized movement in a vigorous, athletic style of practice with intense stretching in order to sweatout the toxins in your body. YRT 200 certified instructor. Bring a yoga mat and towel.
Silver Yoga-For the mature exercisers, this 45-minute class is for those who have challenges with their flexibility and balance. It is a very gentle class that allows stretching the hips, legs, chest, back, shoulders, neck, and other areas where tightness occurs. With the use of the chair, and stability balls this class will help strengthen the core allowing a more stable and strong you.
For Your Core – It’s not all about the six-pack abs! It’s about creating a strong foundation for better posture, improved performance, and injury prevention. You’ll work with medicine balls, stability balls, lightweights, and your own body weight to train your core to be the powerhouse it needs to be.
Body Circuit – A specially formatted class that gives great results! You will get cardiovascular training and muscle toning in 3 and 1-minute segments. The step will be your primary source for cardio, followed by the use of weights, bands, or medicine balls for strength.
Step/Butts-n-Guts-A step express class, plus15 minutes of muscle conditioning to tone and shape your hips, thighs, gluts, and abs. This is a 1-hour class.
Cardio Kick & Core- Mix up your routine with this energy filled class focusing on balance, coordination and strength building. This high-intensity class is a great full body workout, incorporating a broad range of punches, kicks, and athletic drills. You are sure to burn calories and have fun doing it!
Athletic Yoga- This style of yoga involves synchronizing breathing with progressive and continuous series of postures. It produces intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs, all while focusing on the core. Class is an ultimate physical and mental challenge. The results are an improved circulation, flexibility, stamina, a light strong body, and a calm mind. Athletic yoga practice can be for the beginner to an advanced yoga.
RIPPED – A total body workout by requiring the body to respond to constantly be changing format and offers ultimate results in minimal time. RIPPED will improve your cardiovascular endurance, overall muscular endurance, muscle tone and definition, build core strength and intrinsic tensile strength, and build lean body/fat mass ratio.
