Bill Walsh West Coast Quarterbacking
Panthers,
As you can tell by now, I have collected and studied a lot of football information over the years as I worked to put my own program together. Also I reference Bill Walsh and his West Coast Offence concepts in putting together our playbook and game plan. This video series I ran across on YouTube, with Bill Walsh teaching Quarterbacking west coast style and using Joe Montana for the demos. I had to post this one so I can watch it over and more important, you can see it also. As a coach or a player wanting to know or understand the fundamentals that I have based a much of our program around this is a good one to watch. As a Quarterback moving on to high school, I don’t care what system your school is running you can’t go wrong have these skills in your toolbox…..
Take your time with each one, try these skills on your own out side of practice, as we get to practice you will have a better understanding of what is being asked of you and your coach do more fine-tuning of skills during Station time. Making teaching and learning FUN.
Enjoy

EVERY DAY DRILLS (Quarterback)
Coach,
As a position coach I look to you to make sure your group are learning and perfecting the skill needed to play this given position. You are a very important part of the success of the Panther Program as well as the success of the kids you teach at this position as they pass through our program on to the next level of football.
Our Every Day Drills (EDD’s) are the foundation of what the head coaches and coordinators rely on you to teach, without good foundation for this given position some of our kids will have some success on game day because they are faster or stronger than the other team or the other team also overlooks the basic skills and jump straight to the playbook. Overall more of our kids will fail on game if they don’t have that speed or size to overcome the lack of technique.
Please take the first 10 to 20 minutes of your station time to go over these skills and make sure the kids understand them and realize that these are the keys to them becoming better players and a better team. As you watch the game or game tape you will see that most plays that get stuffed can be track back to one or more of these basic skills not being used.
Thanks for your hard work…
